The Woodlands Hiking Club has adopted and endorses the hikeSafe Hiker Responsibility Code. The principles of Hiker Responsibility Code apply to participants in all activities coordinated by The Woodlands Hiking Club. These activities include but are not limited to: meetings, dining events, day hikes, camping trips, extended trips, and all other activities.

The hikeSafe Hiker Responsibility Code was created by the White Mountain National Forest and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, and has been adopted by outdoor organizations across the United States. The Woodlands Hiking Club has chosen to adopt the code in its entirety
